Our history

Arturo Ristorante was established in 1999 by our father Arturo Comegna. Born in the small town of Casoli of the province Abruzzo, Arturo always had a strong passion for fine Italian cuisine and from a young age he began perfecting his delicious recipes.

  • Thomas ComegnaOwner/Currator

    Thomas is the son of Arturo Ristorante's founder, Arturo Comegna. Continuing on his father's legacy, Thomas is responsible for the overseeing of the entire front of the house business operations. His passion and love for the restaurant business began at the age of 13 where he learned his restaurant skills by his fathers side. Thomas' job is to ensure each and every customer is satisfied with the product and service that he and Chris have created. The Owner of the restaurant personally serving your party, that truly is customer service at it's best.

  • Christopher ComegnaOwner/Executive Chef

    Son of founder Arturo Comegna, Christopher is the executive chef responsible for preparing the finest dishes Sault Ste Marie has to offer, as well as overseeing all kitchen operations. The love and passion Chris has for his food is clear in the way he prepares each and every one of his dishes. Chris has over 15 years of culinary experience from family recipes and working abroad in Europe, Western Canada and graduating culinary school. Chris' mastery allows him to take many traditional dishes learned over the years and evolve them into something special.
